GPCCMP / CDM / EPC / Medicare Coverage

Medicare provide a service called GPCCMP (previously known as CDM or EPC) which allows you to have Medicare cover some of your chiropractic costs. All our services and providers are elegible for coverage.

How it works

You go to your GP and have a consultation. They create a GPCCMP – GP Chronic Condition Management Plan which names us. Your GP can authorize up to 5 visits covered at our office per calendar year.

This GPCCMP must get to us. The GP’s office may email it to us, otherwise, you will need to yourself. Email to info@miraclelifechiropractic.com.au.

We will email you once we receive that referral and from that point, you will be elegible to use that coverage. We will notify you again when you have used all of your visits covered by Medicare.

Notes

We will bill you the usual fee for your services in our office. Medicare will pay you back up to 85% of that back.

If we don’t have your GPCCMP on file, you likely will not be able to claim your visits back from Medicare, so it’s best to wait for our confirmation email.

The counter resets on January 1st but the referral is valid for 18 months. In theory, you should be able to claim another 5 visits from that time if the referral is still valid. In practice, it may be wise to get another referral for the new year.
